Description
Agent for ESX(i) (Virtual Appliance)
Agents for ESX(i) run as virtual appliances in the vCloud resource group. If a cluster contains a big number of backed up virtual machines, you may want to deploy more than one agent to this cluster.
vSphere capacity requirements for Agent for ESX(i) (Virtual Appliance):
Memory | Disk Size | CPU Number |
1 GB | 6 GB (thick provisioning) | 2 (the default Virtual Appliance setting) 4-8 (recommended if backing up 5-10 VMs simultaneously) |
Agent for vCloud
Agent for vCloud needs to be imported from the OVF template to the management cluster.

Management Server
Acronis Management Server needs to be installed in the management cluster on a virtual machine running Windows.
