Installation of Acronis Agent for Linux fails with "Segmentation Fault". To fix this issue, transfer the installation files with WinSCP or via Samba share
- You downloaded the Linux installation files on a Windows machine and transfer the files to the Linux machine;
- Once the file is transferred, you run the installer file (i386.i686,x64_86);
- Installation fails with an error similar to one of the following:
./ABR11.5SL_32308_en-US.i686: line 82: 7510 Segmentation fault $INSTALLER $@ --packages-bundle $SELF
During the file transfer from Windows OS to Linux OS or while downloading the file, the file's index might have been corrupted which lead to a mismatch of MD5 value.
If you check the downloaded file on a Windows machine and on the Linux machine, the MD5 of the same file will be different.
To solve this issue, download the file from the Linux machine directly or transfer the downloaded file from Windows machine via WinSCP or Samba share. You can check the MD5 value as described in How to Calculate and Verify MD5 Checksum of Acronis Product Installation File.
