Summary:
Instructions to configure Acronis Files Connect (formerly ExtremeZ-IP) to use a specific IP for servers with multiple IPs / NIC cards.
Description:
Acronis Files Connect will listen on all IP addresses at startup. If you need to specify which IPs are used by the Acronis Files Connect service, you can do so by making the following edits to the registry.
- Open registry editor: Start > Run > Regedit32
- Navigate: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Services > ExtremeZ-IP > Parameters4 > NonRefreshable > edit the value "IPAddress". The value should be the IP addresses you want Acronis Files Connect to use (one per line). example: 209.196.183.38
- If you are running IPv6, create a new REG_MULTI_SZ key named "IPv6Address" and enter the IPv6 addresses (one per line)
- Restart Acronis Files Connect from the Services Control Panel.
This will force Acronis Files Connect to connect using the specified IP addresses.
Note: When running Acronis Files Connect on a Microsoft cluster, Acronis Files Connect will use the IP address listed in its cluster group, so there is no need to make any registry edits.
