While installing Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 using the setup program, you receive this error. When installing via MSI package, the installation succeeds, but the Acronis Managed Machine Service does not start. You can fix this issue by installing the latest build
This article applies to:
- Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5
- You attempt to install Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 on Windows 2000;
- When starting the setup program, you receive following error:
The procedure entry point ClusterNodeGetEnumCount could not be located in the dynamic library CLUSAPI.dll.
An attempt to do a local or remote installation of Acronis Agent Core and Agent Windows from .msi file on Windows 2000 completes successfully. However, the Acronis Managed Machine Service does not start and shows the following error:
Could not start the Acronis Managed Machine Service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
Neither the installer nor the Managed Machine Service is running on Windows 2000. This is a known issue in product.
A fix for this issue is available in the latest build.
