The issue is with the network configuration of the virtual machine

Symptoms

  1. You have hypervisor Citrix XenServer 5.6;
  2. You install Acronis Windows Agent in the Citrix XenServer 5.6 virtual machine;
  3. From Acronis Backup & Recovery Management Server you configure a task to back up the Citrix XenServer 5.6 virtual machine and choose a network share as a destination;
  4. The backup is running at a slow speed of 1-2 MB/s.

Cause

The issue is with the Citrix XenServer 5.6 virtual machine network configuration.

Solution

Disable the Task Offload and CheckSum Offload network parameters in the Windows virtual machine as described in xenappblog: Citrix XenServer Slow Network Performance.
