An attempt to install or update Acronis True Image fails with the following error message:
Installation has failed. Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install.
There is already a different installation in progress - this could be any product, not necessarily Acronis.
Windows does not support multiple simultaneous installations.
Wait until the other installation process finishes before installing or updating Acronis True Image.
As workaround, you can end the running process and start installation anew:
- Open Windows Task Manager: right-click the Task Bar and select Start Task Manager.
- Under Processes find a running msiexec.exe process.
- Click End process and confirm your choice.
- After the process is ended, start installation.
