Description
(!) Acronis True Image Home Plus Pack supports GPT and dynamic disks.
GUID Partition Table (GPT) is a new hard disk partitioning scheme providing advantages over the old MBR partitioning scheme. It was introduced as a part of the Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) initiative.
Other editions of Acronis True Image Home do not support dynamic disks or disks with GUID partition tables (GPT). This means that neither dynamic disks per se nor files or folders on them can be backed up or restored.
If there are dynamic or GPT disks on your machine, Acronis True Image Home will not detect them in Windows or from Acronis Bootable Media.
You can always convert a GPT disk to an MBR disk that is supported by Acronis True Image Home. See Microsoft TechNet article: Change a GUID partition table disk into a master boot record disk.
