Symptoms
At least 4 parallel connections should be allowed to a network share to let Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced save a backup archive to the network share.
- On one machine there is a shared folder with the Allow this number of users option set to 3;
- On a different machine you run Acronis Management Console and connect to an Acronis Agent to create a backup;
- As a destination for the backup you point to the shared folder;
- The backup creation fails with the following error message written to the program log:
Failed to set the logon information for the backup location
Cause
Acronis Management Console establishes several parallel connections to work with the remote location.
Solution
Ensure that the network share has its user limit set to at least 4. If possible, increase the maximum number of possible connections, as the network share could be used by other users too.
