The remote machine is inaccessible
- You try to connect to Acronis Management Server. You click Connect to a management server.
- You try to add Acronis Storage Node via Acronis Management Server. You click Add storage node.
- You try to connect to a remote agent. You click Manage a remote machine.
- You receive the following error message:
Error Message: Error: Invalid address was specified
Error Code: 0x00AD0011
You have specified the address that cannot be resolved from this machine.
Make sure you can ping the machine from command-line. If the ping is successful, please proceed to Cause 2.
Acronis Remote Agent Service has been stopped on a remote machine.
Acronis Remote Agent Service is required for all Acronis remote connections between Acronis services.
Make sure, that Acronis Remote Agent Service is installed and running on a remote machine. If the service is installed and running, please proceed to Cause 3.
Your firewall or antivirus blocks Acronis remote connections.
Acronis remote connections are executed by the %Program Files%\Common Files\Acronis\Agent\agent.exe component that uses TCP and UDP transport protocols via port 9876.
Make sure your inbound TCP and UDP connection via port 9876 on the target machine (the one you are connecting to) is open.
Make sure your outbound TCP and UDP connection via port 9876 on the source machine (the one you are connecting from) is open.
Make sure no firewall or antivirus software blocks the network connections of the %Program Files%\Common Files\Acronis\Agent\agent.exe program on both source and target machines.
