Your machine's BIOS does not support APM commands
This article applies to:
- Acronis True Image Home 2011
- You boot your machine from Acronis Bootable Media of Acronis True Image Home 2011;
- Once booted, you click Turn Off Computer:
- The machine does not turn off. Nothing happens.
This is a known issue.
Acronis True Image Home 2011 sends an Advanced Power Management Command (APM) to the machine's BIOS to turn it off.
If the machine's BIOS does not support APM commands, the machine will not respond to them.
As a workaround, do a hard turn off (i.e. turn off the machine physically).
