If Acronis Bootable Media of Acronis vmProtect 6 does not detect your physical machine's RAID disks, it will corrupt the RAID
This article applies to:
- Acronis vmProtect 6
- You boot a physical machine with RAID disks unrecognized by Acronis Bootable Media of Acronis vmProtect 6;
- You open the disk configuration:
- Regardless of whether you perform any operation or not, next time you boot the machine the RAID will be corrupt and the machine unbootable.
This is a known issue. Opening disk configuration rewrites the disk's NT signature in MBR, which corrupts the RAID configuration.
(!) This has been fixed. Solution is available in Acronis vmProtect 7 Build 5144 or higher. See Upgrading to Acronis vmProtect 7.
If you have RAID disks in the system and see the initialization message, do not invoke disk configuration from Acronis Bootable Media.
If the RAID has already been corrupted, please use your RAID utilities to fix the configuration.
