Make sure the outgoing mail server settings and port are specified correctly

  1. You specify an e-mail account that will be used for notifying you of the backup process;
  2. After specifying the e-mail settings, you click Send test message button.
  3. You receive the following error message (for Update 2: Builds 6857 and 6868):

    Error Message: "Network error"
    Error Code: 0x00030065

    Starting from Acronis True Image 2011 Update 3, this error message will be the following:

    Error Message: "Failed to send the test e-mail. Network error. Check the specified e-mail settings."
    Error Code: 0x00030065

  4. Also, the error message is displayed on the right from the Send test message button (for all builds):


The product failed to connect to a mail server: an outgoing mail server (SMTP) name and/or a port are specified incorrectly.
