20914: Acronis Backup & Recovery 10: Scheduling Resets if Simple Backup Scheme Is Used with Events

This is a known issue. As a workaround, use custom scheme instead

This article applies to:

  • Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server - Virtual Edition
  • Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Workstation
  • Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Server for Windows
  • Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation


  1. You create a backup plan or backup policy with the Simple backup scheme:

  2. You set a scheduling option to run on an event:
    • Upon time since last backup
    • When logging on
    • When logging off
    • At startup
    • When free space changed
    • At Windows event log event
    • When an ADRM aler is received

  3. You save the created plan/policy. When you edit this plan/policy, the scheduling is reset to default settings:

    Start the task every day(s) at 12:00:00 PM:


Issue in the product.


As a workaround, use the Custom backup scheme for schedules other than of Daily, Weekly, Monthly type.
