Update to the latest build or unmap unavailable drives

This article applies to:

  • Acronis True Image Home 2011

  1. You have mapped drives on your system that are currently unavailable (including mapped drives from network shares, mapped card readers, etc);
  2. You start Acronis True Image Home 2011 and select Disk backup;
  3. On the Disk backup page or when you select Destination, Acronis True Image Home 2011 hangs and/or reacts slowly:

Issue in the product.

Acronis True Image Home 2011 tries to browse all network locations and may hang for a considerable amount of time when trying to browse unavailable mapped drives registered in the system in an attempt to identify their current status.

(!) This has been fixed and the fix is available in the latest build of the product. See Installation of the latest update of an Acronis product.

As a workaround, you can also unmap unavailable mapped drives: go to My Computer, right-click the unavailable mapped drive and click Disconnect:
