Cause

According to Novell security advisory (CVE-2007-0003), pam_unix that was used to authenticate Acronis True Image Agent is no longer a part of openSUSE 10.2.

Solution

  • Edit /etc/pam.d/acronisagent as follows:

    %PAM-1.0
    auth required pam_unix2.so
    account required pam_unix2.so

  • Restart Acronis True Image Agent for Linux:

      #/etc/init.d/acronis_trueimage_agent restart
