You can make automatic copies of your backups using option "Backup reserve copy"

This article applies to:

  • Acronis True Image Home 2011

Backup reserve copy allows you to make a second copy of your backup, which helps increase the security of your backups by having two copies of the data.

When creating a reserve copy, the program always makes a full backup of the source data. You cannot make a copy in the form of incremental or differential backup, even in TIB format.

Reserve copies are independent from source backups. Moving or deleting a reserve copy will not influence the source backup in any way.

(!) Normal backup and reserve copying are performed one after another, not simultaneously.

(!) Automatic cleanup rules set for source backups do not work for reserve copies of backups.

(!) Reserve copies cannot be created on CD/DVD/BD.

(!) Reserve copies cannot be created from Acronis Bootable Media.
