How to manually uninstall Acronis True Image 9.x and Echo series from Windows systems

Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista

  • Remove Acronis Secure Zone (see Removing Acronis Secure Zone)
  • Remove the programm using Microsoft FixitChoose the I want to uninstall a product option.
  • Remove Acronis True Image Backup Archive Explorer (see Removing Acronis Backup Archive Explorer)
  • Remove Acronis SnapAPI drivers (see Removing Acronis SnapAPI Drivers)

  • Open Windows Task Manager and stop the TrueImageMonitor.exe process

  • Delete the \Program Files\Acronis folder
  • Delete the \Program Files\Common Files\Acronis folder
  • Delete the \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis folder (or \ProgramData\Acronis in Windows Vista)
  • Delete the \WINDOWS\system32\autoprnt.exe if it exists
  • Delete shortcuts from Desktop and Start menu
  • Reboot the computer
