Symptoms

1. You disable Acronis True Image Home integration into Windows 7 Control Panel by deselecting Help -> Integrate True Image into Windows:

   

2. However, the integration still shows in Control Panel -> System and Security -> Backup and Restore:

   

Cause

This is a known issue.

Solution

(!) This has been fixed and the fix is available in the latest build of the product. See Installation of the latest update of an Acronis product. After you install the latest build, switching off the integration will bring back both the Windows backup and restore option and the Windows backups:
