  1. Run the Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced installation file and click Install Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced:

  2. Hit Next:

  3. If you accept the license agreement, select I accept this agreement and click Next:

  4. Select Typical or Custom installation:

    Typical installation - All the three components will be installed;

    Custom installation - You can select what components to install:

    • Agent for Windows - This component performs all the Acronis Disk Director 11 operations;
    • Management Console - With the Acronis Management Console you manage the Agent for Windows;

  5. Enter the license key and click Next:

  6. Select where to install the product:

  7. Select whether to install under a new dedicated account or under an existing account:

    The account you specify is the one under which the Acronis Disk Director Agent service will run.

    • Create a new account - The installation will create the Acronis Agent User account and run the Acronis Disk Director Agent service under it.

      The Acronis Agent User account will be given the following privileges:

      • The account is assigned the Log on as a service, Adjust memory quotas for a process, and Replace a process level token user rights.
      • The account is included in the Backup Operators group.
    • Use an existing account - You can make the Acronis Disk Director Agent service run under an existing account.

      If you choose to specify an existing local or domain user account—for example, .\LocalUser or DomainName\DomainUser - make sure that the account is a member of the Administrators group, before proceeding with the installation. The setup program will assign the above listed user rights to the account.

      If the machine is part of an Active Directory domain, make sure that the domain's security policies do not prevent the account from having the above listed user rights.

      (!) After the installation, do not specify a different user account for the Acronis Disk Director Agent service. Otherwise, the Agent may stop working.

  8. Make sure that 9876 TCP port is open:
