What is Acronis Startup Recovery Manager and what features it offers

Description

Acronis Startup Recovery Manager allows you to start Acronis product without loading the operating system. Its functionality is similar to Acronis functionality in Windows.

Acronis Startup Recovery Manager functionality is identical to Acronis Bootable Rescue Media (see Standalone Version of Acronis Software): this eliminates the need to have a separate rescue media. You can use either Acronis Startup Recovery Manager or Acronis Bootable Rescue Media, depending on what suits your needs best.

You can use Acronis Startup Recovery Manager to create offline backups of your system, or to restore your disk in case the operating system does not load.

You can activate or deactivate the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager at any time from the Tools menu.

You can perform the following operations in Acronis Startup Recovery Manager of Acronis True Image Home:

  • Disk/partition and file/folder backup;
  • Disk/partition and file/folder recovery;
  • Managing Acronis Secure Zone;
  • Deactivating Acronis Startup Recovery Manager;
  • Disk clone;
  • Add new disk;
  • Data destruction on hard disk with Acronis Drive Cleanser.

 

The following operations can be performed in Acronis Startup Recovery Manager of Acronis Backup & Recovery:

  • Disk/partition and file/folder backup;
  • Disk/partition and file/folder recovery;
  • Managing Acronis Secure Zone;
  • Deactivating Acronis Startup Recovery Manager;
  • Export backup;
  • Disk management.
