Symptoms

  1. After updating to Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Build 12457 or higher, you create Acronis Bootable Media on RIS/WDS Server;
  2. You boot the machine from the Acronis Bootable Media on RIS/WDS Server;
  3. After booting, the machine shows the Acronis Bootable Media splash screen, but there are no items to select:

Cause

This is a known issue in Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Build 12457 or higher.

Solution

To fix the issue, reinstall the Bootable Media Builder from the older build using the instructions below:

  1. Go to Start -> Run -> appwiz.cpl;
  2. Uninstall Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Bootable Media Builder;
  3. Download the two following installation files and install both of them:
  4. Recreate Acronis Bootable Media on RIS/WDS Server.
