Introduction

Select XenServer Virtual Appliance Version 1 (ova.xml) or All files (*.*) from the Files of type list, and add the ova.xml file.

Solution

  1. Log on to XenCenter;
  2. Click VM -> Import:

  3. Select Exported VM and click Browse:

  4. Select All files (*.*) from the Files of type list and add the ova.xml file:

  5. Select the XenServer host where you would like to deploy the virtual machine:

  6. Select the storage repository where the virtual disks for the newly imported virtual machine will be stored:

  7. Add the network interfaces you want to configure for the new virtual machine:

  8. Click Finish to complete the import process:

  9. Allow enough time for the import process to complete. You can view the progress on the XenCenter Logs tab:

  10. The imported VM will have the name “import” at the end of it to identify that it has been imported:
