How to import ova.xml to Citrix XenServer
This article applies to:
- Acronis Backup 11.5 (Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5)
- Acronis Backup & Recovery 11
- Acronis Backup & Recovery 10
Introduction
Select XenServer Virtual Appliance Version 1 (ova.xml) or All files (*.*) from the Files of type list, and add the ova.xml file.
Solution
- Log on to XenCenter;
- Click VM -> Import:
- Select Exported VM and click Browse:
- Select All files (*.*) from the Files of type list and add the ova.xml file:
- Select the XenServer host where you would like to deploy the virtual machine:
- Select the storage repository where the virtual disks for the newly imported virtual machine will be stored:
- Add the network interfaces you want to configure for the new virtual machine:
- Click Finish to complete the import process:
- Allow enough time for the import process to complete. You can view the progress on the XenCenter Logs tab:
- The imported VM will have the name “import” at the end of it to identify that it has been imported:
