Introduction

Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 allows you to restore specific files and folders from a disk backup.

You can restore specific files and folders from a disk/partition backup stored in personal vault or in centralized vault.

(!) Restoring files and folders from a disk/partition image stored on tape is not possible. See Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Tape Support.

(!) Restoring files and folders to a virtual machine requires that Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Agent for Windows or Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Agent for Linux is installed in guest OS on a virtual machine.

Solution

You can restore necessary files via Recovery wizard in Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 or you can explore the backup file in Windows.

You can also mount a backup as virtual disk and restore files from it: see Acronis Backup & Recovery 10: Mounting Partition Backups.
