21543: Acronis Backup & Recovery Advanced: Upgrading Acronis Agent Remotely

Run the remote installation wizard and install Acronis Backup & Recovery 11/11.5 Agent on top of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Agent or on a clean machine

Introduction

Before you upgrade to Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5/11 Agent, make sure you have upgraded the components for centralized management. See Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced: Technical Upgrade Sequence.

You can install Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5/11 Agent on a clean machine or over Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Agent.

(!) Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5/11 Agent can only be installed over Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Agent Build 11639 (U2) or higher.

Solution

  1. Run Acronis Backup & Recovery Management Console and click Tools -> Install Acronis Components:

  2. Add the machine(s) where you would like to install the Acronis Agent and click Next:

  3. Select both Agent Core and Agent:

  4. Choose the licensing option:
    • Insert the license key(s) manually;
    • Specify Acronis License Server that the has the license key(s);
    • Install Acronis Backup & Recovery Online edition that does not need a license key.

  5. Decide whether you want to the product to register the Acronis Agent automatically on the Acronis Management Server:

  6. Review the summary and click Proceed:
