Setting up E-mail notifications to have Acronis Drive Monitor send alerts and regular disk reports

Introduction

You can configure Acronis Drive Monitor to send E-mail alerts when disk problems are detected and regular disk reports to an E-mail address.

Solution

Start Acronis Drive Monitor and click Options:
On the Alerts tab, next to the E-mail addresses, click Change settings:
On the E-mail settings page, type in the settings for your mail server:
Click Send test message to make sure the settings are correct:

Example: Setting up Gmail notifications

Email address: your Gmail address;
From: Name that will be displayed in the From field;
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
User name: your Gmail address;
Password: your Gmail password;
Use encryption: SSL

Example: Setting up Microsoft Exchange Server notifications

Email address: your Email address
From: name that will be displayed in the From field;
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): IP address of the Microsoft Exchange Server;
Port: 587
User name: username in the DOMAIN\username form;
Password: your Windows domain password;
Use encryption: TLS
