Creating an MS Installer Log of Acronis True Image Home 2010

Introduction

If there is an issue with installation of Acronis True Image Home 2010, it is useful to create an installation log and send it along with your request for support.

Solution

  1. Start the installation package of Acronis True Image Home 2010, right-click on Install Acronis True Image Home and select Extract:

  2. Save the AcronisTrueImage.msi file to your desktop:

  3. Download ATIH2010MSILog.zip, and extract the batch file to your desktop:

  4. Double click on the extracted ATIH2010MSILog.bat file to run it:

  5. The batch file will run:

  6. Acronis True Image Home 2010 will display that the installation has failed. Click Close:

  7. The installation log will appear on the desktop:

  8. Please ZIP the log and send it to Acronis Customer Central with a description of the issue and a reference to this article.
