Symptoms

Sample scenario 1

1. You turn on Windows BitLocker;
2. You try to activate Try&Decide. The attempt fails with the following error message:

   Failed to start Try&Decide
   Errorcode: 0x00970008+0x0000FFF0

Sample scenario 2

1. You successfully activate Try&Decide;
2. You turn on Windows BitLocker;
3. Try&Decide errors out with the following error message:

   Failed to start Try&Decide
   Errorcode: 0x00970008+0x0000FFF0

Cause

Acronis True Image Home 2010 does not work with encrypted volumes.

Solution

As workaround, decrypt the volumes by turning off Windows BitLocker.
