The Network module allows you to manage copies of Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010 installed on your home computers from a single computer

Description

The Network module allows you to manage all copies of Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010 installed on your home computers from a single computer.

Once you enable the Network module, you will be able to do from one location the following:

  • Set up a password for the product on your home computers;
  • Run a scan a task on your home computers;
  • Fix security issues (if there are any) on your home computers;
  • View the history/events of the copies of the product installed on your home computers;
  • Run the product's update process for the copies of the product installed on your home computers;
  • Set Parental Control on your home computers;
  • Set the main machine as an update server for all home computers.

The Network module is available only in the Intermediate and Expert modes of the product:

Enabling Network

  • In the Network or Home Network window, click Enable Network:

  • Type in the password that you will use to manage your home computers:

  • Click OK.

    Your computer will be automatically added to the Network of managed machines:

Adding computers to the Network

Before adding a computer to the Network, please make sure that:

  • The computer that you are going to add, has Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010 installed;
  • The Network module of Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010 that you are going to add is enabled and has a password set up.
  • In the Network or Home Network window, click Add Computer:

  • Enter the password that you set up when enabling the Network on this machine:

  • Enter the IP address or computer name of the machine that you are going to add, and click Add:

  • Enter the password that you set up when enabling the Network on the machine that you are adding now:

    The machine will then be added:

Managing the added machines

Once a machine is added to the Network, you can click on it to perform a management operation:

  • Remove PC from home network - Remove the machine from the list of managed computers;
  • Set a setting password on a remote PC - Create a password to restrict access to the product installed on the machine;
  • Run an on-demand scan task - Force the machine scan for malware;
  • Fix all issues on this PC - Fix security issues on the machine (if there are any);
  • View History/Events - View the history/events of the product installed on the managed machine;
  • Update Now - Start the update process of the product installed on the managed machine;
  • Set Parental Control Profile - Set Parental Control on the managed machine;
  • Set as Update Server for this network - Set the managed machine as update server for all copies of the products installed in the Network. This option will reduce Internet traffic.
