The product can encrypt your Yahoo Messenger and MSN Messenger conversations

• Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010

Description

By default, the product encrypts all your instant messaging chat sessions provided that:

• You and your chat partner has Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010 installed, and both you and your chat partner have IM Encryption enabled for the instant messaging application used for chatting;
• You and your chat partner use either Yahoo Messenger or Windows Live (MSN) Messenger.

(!) The product will not encrypt a conversation if a chat partner uses a web-based chat application, or if one of the chat partners uses Yahoo! and the other Windows Live (MSN).

The IM Encryption settings can be adjusted only in the Expert mode. Everything set in the Expert mode is used in the Novice and Intermediate modes. See Acronis Internet Security Suite 2010: Novice, Intermediate, and Expert Modes.

In the Novice and Intermediate modes you can only enable or disable the IM Encryption by clicking Settings in the upper right corner of the main program window:

The IM Encryption settings are available on the Encryption -> IM Encryption tab in the Expert mode:

Here you can enable or disable IM Encryption, as well as exclude chat partners from having the messages encrypted.
