How to create Acronis Bootable Media with a backup archive on it (all-in-one)

Introduction

Using Acronis Backup & Recovery 10, you can create Acronis Bootable Media that has a backup of your system on it (all-in-one).

Solution

  1. Start Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 and click Back up:

  2. Set what to back up. In Where to back up provide a path to the removable media (CD/DVD/Flash):

  3. Click Change under Backup options:

  4. On the Options screen, click Media components and select Acronis Bootable Agent:

    If you have an Acronis Universal Restore license, it will also be included in the bootable media.

  5. Click OK.

(!) Bootable media with a backup file can only be created when using Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 in Windows. It is impossible to create such media in bootable environment.

More information

If the size of the backup does not fit one piece of media (e.g. CD), the file will be split into several volumes. In this case, the bootable piece will be the first one.
