6489: Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server Fails to Restore Certain Databases

This article applies to:

Symptoms

  1. Using Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server, you are trying to restore a database;
  2. The restore fails with an error message similar to the following one:

    Failed to execute the SQL statement 'RESTORE DATABASE [NAME]
    FROM VIRTUAL_DEVICE='2395725B850242BEB3RHNE5674239E33' WITH REPLACE, MOVE
    N'NAME_Data' TO N'C:\DataBase\NAME.mdf', MOVE N'WEBINVOICE_Log' TO
    N'C:\DataBase\NAME_log.ldf', BLOCKSIZE = 65536, MAXTRANSFERSIZE = 4194304,
    BUFFERCOUNT = 32'.

Issue in the product.
