34996: True Image 2013 by Acronis: Windows 8 is Unbootable after System Restore from Acronis Nonstop Backup

You have installed True Image 2013 by Acronis on Microsoft Windows 8 and created a system backup using Acronis Nonstop Backup feature. The system restore will lead to an unbootable operating system. Download and install the latest build of True Image 2013 by Acronis to fix this issue.

Symptoms

  1. You have created an system backup with Acronis Nonstop backup from your Microsoft Windows 8 system;
  2. After some slices have been created, you restore from the latest slice of your Acronis Nonstop backup;
  3. After the successful restore, you attempt to boot the system and get an error like this:

    As a result, your system is unbootable.

Cause

This is a known issue that has been fixed.

Solution

Please download and install the latest build of True Image 2013.
