This article applies to:
- Acronis Backup & Recovery 11
Symptoms
- You back up the whole disk that has ESX(i) 4.0 or 4.1 installed;
- Then you boot your machine from Acronis Bootable Media;
- You attempt to restore the whole disk into original location. The operation fails with the following error message:
Failed to copy disks
Cause
This is a known issue.
Solution
As workaround, restore only volumes from the disk into their original location.
(!) This has been fixed in the latest build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 11. After installing the latest build, please recreate Acronis Bootable Media.
