Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 for Linux displays Windows partition letters instead of the proper Linux device names

This article applies to:

  • Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Server for Linux (Standalone)
  • Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server - Virtual Edition (Agent for Linux)

Symptoms

  1. You are trying to restore files or folders from an image of Linux disk in Linux;
  2. When selecting the files or folders to restore, the partitions and disks have Windows letters instead of the proper Linux device names. E.g. it shows C: instead of sdb1.

Cause

Issue in the product.

Solution

This has been fixed and the fix is available in the latest build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10. See Downloading the Latest Build of Acronis Software.
