Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 cannot execute Windows PowerShell scripts as pre/post commands

Symptoms

  1. In Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 you specify Windows PowerShell scripts in the pre/post commands of Backup or Recovery options;
  2. When running the backup or recovery, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 fails to execute the Windows PowerShell scripts. The window freezes or an error message similar to the following one pops up:

Cause

Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 does not correctly recognize Windows PowerShell scripts.

Solution

This has been fixed. The fix is available in the latest released build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10. See Downloading the Latest Build of Acronis Software.
