Insert the card before booting the operating system

This article applies to:

  • Acronis True Image Home 2012

Symptoms

  1. You have Acronis True Image Home 2012 installed on the machine with an external card reader;
  2. After you insert a memory card into card reader, card is not detected in My Computer in Windows.

Cause

Issue in the product.

Solution

As a workaround, reboot the computer after inserting memory card. If memory card is present in card reader during system boot, it will be detected in My Computer correctly.

(!) The issue reproduces only if memory card is not present in card reader during system boot.
