To fix the issue, update to the latest build

This article applies to:

• Acronis True Image Home 2012

Symptoms

1. From Acronis True Image Home 2012, you attempt to browse to a network share;
2. The attempt fails with the following error message:

   Error Code: 0x00040014
   Error Message: Access to the file is denied

Cause

This is a known issue with an older build of Acronis True Image Home 2012.

Solution

The issue has been fixed and the fix is available in the latest build of the product. See Acronis True Image Home 2012: Updating to Build 6131.
