This article applies to:

  • Acronis True Image Home 2012

Symptoms

  1. You attempt to install Acronis True Image Home 2012 over Acronis True Image Home 2011 or Acronis True Image Home 2010;
  2. The installation fails.

Cause

Depending on the system configuration, there could be several causes.

Solution

As a workaround, do the following:

  1. Run Acronis True Image Home 2012 Cleanup Utility see Acronis True Image Home 2012 Cleanup Utility to have the product completely removed from the system;
  2. Delete the contents of the Windows Temp folder. For information on how to find the folder please see Installation of Acronis Products in Windows Creates Temporary Files in %TMP% on System Partition.
  3. Reattempt the installation.
