Standard Acronis True Image Home 2011 does not support backup of Dynamic and GPT disks.

Symptoms

• You run One-click backup from Tools & Utilities menu or from a Welcome screen.

• In the opened dialog My computer source is disabled and you see an error: "Error analyzing system and bootable partitions".

• You click More information and receive the following error:

Error Code: 0x006400A5
Error Message: System or Boot partition is located on dynamic or GPT disk.

Cause

Your system or bootable partition is located on a dynamic or GPT disk.

Standard Acronis True Image Home 2011 does not support backup of dynamic and GPT disks.

Solution

If your system is BIOS-based, you can use Acronis True Image Home 2011 Plus Pack to back up GPT disks. See Acronis True Image Home 2011 Plus Pack.
