Introduction

There is a known issue with the backup task cloning in Acronis True Image Home 2012. See Acronis True Image Home 2012: "Clone settings" Feature Malfunctions.

Solution

  1. Start the product, right-click on the task that you would like to clone and select Clone settings:

  2. The cloned task will appear at the top of the list (if the default Sort by -> Date updated is set).
  3. Right-click on the cloned task and select Edit settings:

  4. In the Backup name, put in a new name:

The cloned task should now work correctly.
