Synchronization of two local folders on one machine

Introduction

This article describes how to sync two or more local folders on one machine. This includes data synchronization with a folder on a removable or remote storage device, such as a USB flash drive, USB hard drive, NAS, etc.

Solution

Before you start with the sync, please see Acronis True Image Home 2012: Synchronization Requirements.

  1. Start the product and click Synchronization:

  2. Log in to your Acronis online account:

    This is the regular Acronis account at the Acronis website, which you probably already have. See also Registration at Acronis Website.

  3. Click New sync:

  4. Select a folder to sync and click Next:

    (!) An empty folder cannot be selected.

  5. Select Local folder:

  6. Select a second folder to sync and click Sync now:

Alternatively, you can always right-click on a folder in Windows and select Sync this folder:
