This article applies to:

Symptoms
- You create an archive with special symbols in the name, e.g. system[machine1];
- Backup operation completes successfully;
- Validation of this archive fails with the following error message:
Either the backup file is corrupt or the file is not an Acronis backup
Cause
Issue in the product. Archive is not correctly processed if archive name contains % or [].
Solution
Rename the archive so that its name does not contain symbols [] and %.
(!) Standard name variables like [Plan Name] and [Machine Name] do not cause this issue.
Acronis Development Team is working on fixing this issue.
