This article applies to:

• Acronis Disk Director 11 Home

Symptoms

1. You install Acronis OS Selector;
2. You uncheck the option Do not load CD-ROM drivers in Tools -> Options -> Startup Options:

   

3. The CD/DVD drive is not visible as a boot device in the Operating Systems menu.

Cause

Issue in the product. 

The driver used to deal with CD/DVD-ROMs in Acronis Disk Director 11 Home  is not compatible with SATA CD/DVD-ROMs.

Solution

There is no solution at the moment. 

As a workaround, you can switch the CD/DVD-ROM to legacy mode in computer BIOS (if your system has this possibility).
