Introduction

A vault is a location for storing backup archives.

A managed vault is a centralized vault managed by Acronis Storage Node. To access a managed vault, user must have an Administrator account on the machine where Acronis Storage Node is installed.

An unmanaged vault is a centralized vault that is not managed by Acronis Storage Node. To access an unmanaged vault, user needs to have access privileges for the network location of the vault.

Solution

Before creating a centralized vault you need to install Acronis Storage Node and add it to Acronis Management Server. See Acronis Backup & Recovery 10: Adding Storage Node to Acronis Management Server.
