Acronis True Image 11 Home crashes on the Backup Archive Location selection screen due to the conflict with Widcomm drivers

This article applies to:

Symptoms

  1. You run the Acronis True Image Backup wizard on the machine that has Widcomm Bluetooth Software installed;
  2. Once you get to the Backup Archive Location screen, Acronis True Image crashes with the following error message:

Cause

Acronis True Image conflicts with Widcomm Bluetooth Software.

Solution

Update Widcomm Bluetooth Software to the latest version:
