One needs to reinstall Acronis Snap Deploy 3 components and import the upgrade licenses to Acronis License Server

Introduction

• If you own a valid Acronis Snap Deploy Maintenance and Priority Support license, then you will receive an automatic e-mail with instructions how to get a free upgrade license.
• If you own an expired Acronis Snap Deploy Maintenance and Priority Support license, then you will need to buy an upgrade license.
• If you do not have an Acronis Snap Deploy Maintenance and Priority Support license, then you will need to buy an upgrade license.

Once you have Acronis Snap Deploy 3 upgrade licenses, you can proceed with upgrading the product components on your machines.

Solution

1. Install all necessary Acronis Snap Deploy 3 components including Acronis License Server on your network machines;
   

   You can install the new components over Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 components or you can install them from scratch on new machines.

   (!) Please make sure you remove all Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 components from the network, since Acronis Snap Deploy 3 components cannot communicate with them.

2. Import the upgrade licenses to Acronis License Server. You will need one upgrade license for each Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 license.
   

   (!) If you remove Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 License Server first, make sure you install Acronis Snap Deploy 3 License Server on the same machine. Otherwise you will not be able to use the imported upgrade licenses. Upgrade licenses can only be used if there are Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0 licenses present.

   The imported upgrade licenses will be assigned to the same machines as they were in Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0. If there were free unassigned licenses in Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0, the same amount of imported upgrade licenses will be free.
