The necessary drivers for this new controller were not added in the current version of Acronis products

This article applies to:

• LSI M1064E MegaRAID SAS controller
• Intel 631xESB/632xESB SATA RAID controller

Symptoms

The hard drives connected to the listed controllers are not recognized from Acronis Bootable Media.

To be sure that the issue is caused by one of the listed controllers, please do the following:

1. Get your Windows System Information File;
2. Check that the Vendor ID under SCSI is any of the following:

Vendor ID 0x1000, Device ID 0x0055
Vendor ID 0x1000, Device ID 0x0057
Vendor ID 0x8086, Device ID 0x2682, Subvendor ID 0x8086, Subdevice ID 0x3477
Vendor ID 0x8086, Device ID 0x2682, Subvendor ID 0x8086, Subdevice ID
0x3479

Cause

The Linux kernel used in Acronis products does not support the listed controllers.

Solution

As a workaround, please use BartPE:

• Creating BartPE Media with Acronis Universal Restore
• Working with Acronis True Image Plug-In for BartPE
• Creating BartPE Media with Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0

Or WinPE:

• Creating WinPE ISO with Acronis True Image
