Windows integration options

This article applies to:

• Acronis True Image Home 2011

Description

You can customize Acronis True Image Home 2011 integration into Windows.

The following Windows integration options are available within the product:

• Acronis console in Windows Control Panel (Windows 7 only) - Substitutes the default Windows 7 backup and restore option with Acronis True Image Home 2011. Disabling this option will automatically bring back the built-in Windows backups;
• The Acronis Recovery tab in the Properties window - Right-click on a file that has a backed up version and explore or recover it;
• Shortcut menu operations - Integration of Acronis True Image Home 2011 operations into context menu.

To customize the integration, do the following:

Click Help -> Settings -> Integrate True Image into Windows...

Acronis console in Windows Control Panel

This option is available in Windows 7 only.

With this option selected, you will have Acronis True Image Home 2011 instead of the default Windows 7 backup and restore option.

You can view this at Start -> Control Panel -> System and Security -> Backup and Restore:

Enabled	Disabled

Disabling this option will automatically bring back the built-in Windows backup and restore.

The Acronis Recovery tab in the Properties windows

With this option enabled, you can right-click on a file that has been backed and explore or recover its versions.

The Acronis Recovery tab is available in file properties:

Enabled	Disabled

All the three integration options can be enabled/disabled with no interference with each other.
