Acronis Disk Director allows you to change the type of a partition

• Acronis Disk Director Server 10.0
• Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0

Introduction

Acronis Disk Director allows you to change the type of a partition. You can make a partition primary or logical, as well as set it active.

Solution

To make a partition active do the following:

1. Select the partition that you want to set active from the list in the Acronis Disk Director main window;
2. Select Set Active in the Advanced sidebar list;
3. Click OK.

To change the type of a partition to primary or logical do the following:

1. Select the partition that you want to change from the list in the Acronis Disk Director main window;
2. Select Convert in the Advanced sidebar list;
3. Select Logical Partition or Primary Partition;
4. Click OK.

All the changes will be made once you click the checkered flag in the main window.
