Limitations on LVM support in Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Linux

Description

The current version of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Linux supports backup of LVM partitions only on systems with 2.6 kernels. You can create an image of an LVM volume and restore it on a partition or on a previously created volume. Working from bootable rescue media, it's only possible to restore the image of a LVM volume on a partition. Note, that you cannot back up LVM volumes or restore an image on a LVM volume using Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Linux bootable rescue media.

More information

The standalone version of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Linux is based on 2.4.x kernel and cannot automatically detect LVM volumes.
